Obiettivi formativi
Il corso intende fornire a studenti e studentesse gli strumenti fondamentali per potersi orientare, sul piano storico, nelle dinamiche politiche, economiche e sociali del Novecento, con particolare riferimento alla dimensione internazionale e ai relativi modelli interpretativi e con specifico approfondimento di alcuni aspetti della storia politica e istituzionale della Repubblica italiana.
The course intends to offer to students the basic instruments necessary for an all-around orientation from the historical point of view, in the political, economic and social dynamics of the 20th Century. The focus will be the international dimension and the frames of interpretation related to that. A special attention will be given to certain aspects of Italy’s political and institutional history.

Gli studenti e le studentesse dovranno dimostrare di
- (CONOSCENZA e COMPRENSIONE) conoscere i temi sviluppati nel programma dell’insegnamento. Essi dovranno altresì dimostrare di comprendere le principali interpretazioni proposte durante le lezioni;
- (APPLICARE CONOSCENZA e COMPRENSIONE) saper leggere e comprendere le diverse tipologie di fonti fornite come materiale didattico integrativo;
- (AUTONOMIA di GIUDIZIO) saper comprendere ed esporre giudizi storici con autonomia e maturità, a partire dalle conoscenze e competenze acquisite;
- (ABILITA’ COMUNICATIVE) sapere raccontare e spiegare in maniera sintetica gli eventi storici attraverso un linguaggio chiaro ed efficace, con una terminologia scientifica;

At the end of the course
- (KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING) students must demonstrate their knowledge of the topics that will be developed in the course program. They must also demonstrate that they understand the main interpretations proposed during the lessons.
- (APPLYING KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING) students must be able to read and understand the different types of sources provided as supplementary teaching materials
- (JUDGMENT AUTONOMY) students must be able to understand and present historical judgments with autonomy and maturity, from the acquired knowledge and skills
- (COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS) students must be able to narrate and explain historical events in a concise manner, through clear and effective language, using scientific terminology
- (LEARNING SKILLS) moreover, students must know the most recent and updated bibliography.

Modalità di insegnamento
L’insegnamento si compone di due parti.
- 3 incontri in presenza, rispettivamente all’inizio, durante e alla fine del corso, di due ore ciascuno.
- 12 unità didattiche settimanali
Le unità didattiche consistono nella messa a disposizione settimanale di alcuni materiali di supporto (cartine, documenti, parole chiave). A conclusione di ogni unità didattica è previsto lo svolgimento da parte di ogni singolo/a studente/studentessa di un test di autovalutazione, che dovrà essere inviato secondo le scadenze prefissate.
Si è considerati frequentanti se svolgono almeno i 2/3 dei test di autovalutazione.
The course consists of two parts.
- 3 face-to-face meetings of two hours each at the beginning, during and at the end of the course.
- 12 teaching units per week
The teaching units consist of the weekly provision of some supporting materials (maps, documents, key words). At the end of each teaching unit, each student is expected to take a self-assessment test, which must be sent in accordance with the set deadlines.
Students are considered to be attending if they complete at least 2/3 of the self-assessment tests.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
L’esame finale consisterà in un colloquio orale, attraverso domande relative al programma complessivo dell’insegnamento. Lo studente dovrà dimostrare di conoscere gli avvenimenti dell’età contemporanea e di saperli esporre in modo chiaro. La votazione sarà espressa in trentesimi. Non sono previste prove d’esame intermedie.
The final examination will consist of an oral interview, comprising questions about the whole learning programme. The student should be able to show his/her knowledge of Contemporary Age events and to clearly expound them. The grading will be given in thirtieths. Midterm assessments are not allowed for.
